Creative Friday

Hello my crafty friends and happy March 1st! Did you know that March is National Craft Month?   Well, now you do so let's all get our craft on this month, ok? Ok!

I'm super happy to be back for another scrappy Creative Friday.  I have a little surprise for you all today... not even our fearless Team Leaders Lacey and Sheri knew he he he he.  I shot a short video tutorial on how I created this confetti pocket on my layout.

Here's my layout.  I used Bella Blvd's Birthday Girl Theme Set and Flags and Bella Blvd Washi tapes, Amy Tangerine Puffy Stickers & Vellum Hearts, Amy Tangerine Thickers (white wood veneer), Studio Calico Wood Veneers, Dear Lizzy ruffle paper, a 4 inch doily, 2 American Crafts Flair, and a glassine bag.

Here's a few close ups...

I used a few different paper punches to get my shapes and confetti. Three sizes of Fiskars cloud punches, a small Marvy butterfly punch, a medium heart punch and a small heart paper hole puncher.  You can really see some of the small details in this pictures.. clouds punched from glassine bags, yellow chevron washi tape covering a punched heart, a sweet Bella Flag, a Studio Calico Wood Veneer '7', little punched butterflies and the delicate Dear Lizzy yellow and white ruffle paper in the background.

And now, for your feature presentation...

Thank you for spending time with us today!  There are more pictures on my blog also.

Now, get scrappy!

Wonderful technique. I've seen the confetti pockets before, even thought about making them but haven't followed through. I guess I'm going to have to give them a try. Thanks for the inspiration Jody!
